- You may upgrade any workstation to the desired release
- The versions you chosen are not compatible. Please refer to the instructions below.

If you wish to evaluate this release while other users continue working with the existing setup, please follow these steps:

  1. Select any workstation. Verify the current version of CS-RCS is installed correctly on this workstation.
  2. Perform Master setup with this pre-release. Specify an alternative folder as the desired repository root.
  3. At the end of the setup process, answer No to the "Would you like to copy all RCS files?" question and then Yes to the "Would you like to map all projects to the exiting repository files?" question. (This will upgrade your existing setup to the alternative repository. It will also adjust all original Central Repository projects to Alternate Repository projects mapped to the existing repository tree.)
  4. If you wish, you may install other workstations. Click "Workstation" on the first setup screen. When requested, select the new repository path.
  5. Create a test project and get familiar with the new functionality.
  6. Now, you may manipulate existing projects. This will not affect users working with the old setup.

If you wish to upgrade your setup to the a newer release, please follow these steps:

  1. Install the Master workstation specifying the current repository root.
  2. Re-install all workstations.
